"With my photo series ‘Waves of Nostalgia' I want to capture a specific moment in time – a fleeting, sun-soaked summer filled with youthful joy. Inspired by the iconic music video for the song 'Being Boring' by the Pet Shop Boys and the 1969 film 'La Piscine,' I aim to immortalize the happiness and close bonds of a group of friends as they embrace the warmth of the sun, the clarity of blue waters, and each other's camaraderie. The setting is a radiant azure pool, and the sun's rays cast sharp shadows, creating a visual interplay of light and dark.

'Waves of Nostalgia' invites you to rediscover life and the deep connections we share, as seen through my lens. It's a reminder that the carefree, sun-drenched days of our youth are relatable, and we can always celebrate the beauty of the moment."

The series consists of 10 photos (Piëzografie, Hahnemühle White Velvet) and a blueprint (Fabriano Artistico White), available in an edition of 12.

Met mijn fotoserie 'Waves of Nostalgia' wil ik een specifiek moment in de tijd vastleggen - een vluchtige, zonovergoten zomer vol jeugdherinneringen. Geïnspireerd door de iconische muziekvideo van het nummer 'Being Boring' van de Pet Shop Boys en de film ‘La Piscine’ uit 1969, wil ik het plezier van een groep kameraden vastleggen. Terwijl ze de warmte van de zon, de helderheid van het water en elkaars vriendschap omarmen. De omgeving is een stralend azuurblauw zwembad, de zonnestralen werpen scherpe schaduwen, waardoor een visueel spel van licht en donker ontstaat.

'Waves of Nostalgia' nodigt je uit om, gezien door mijn lens, die momenten te herontdekken en stil te staan bij de vriendschappen die we delen. Het is een herinnering aan de zorgeloze, zonovergoten dagen van onze jeugd, en dat we altijd de schoonheid van het moment altijd kunnen vieren.

De serie bestaat uit 10 foto’s (Piëzografie, Hahnemühle White Velvet) en een blauwdruk (Fabriano Artistico White), verkrijgbaar in een editie van 12.
